Global Universal Film Group (GUFG) is a distinguished entity in the film industry, specializing in the production of high-quality, low-budget genre films with a roster of recognizable talent.
We proudly manage global distribution and sales representation for our own films, and also for selected content from other innovative filmmakers.
We employ a strategic financing approach meticulously crafted to mitigate investment risk. This strategy utilizes a combination of tax incentives, pre-sales, distribution advances, gap financing, and economies of scale inherent in back-to-back film production, along with deferment of our production fees, thus significantly reducing risk while enhancing the potential for lucrative returns.
Our management team comprises a dynamic combination of accomplished film entrepreneurs, industry executives, and hands-on film producers.
Jackie Giroux and Alan Bailey, among others, bring a lifetime of knowledge and experience in film and television content development, production, and distribution.
At GUFG, we seek partnerships with investors who harbor a passion for the art of filmmaking and also comprehend the business aspect of the industry. We aim to collaborate with individuals who value our financial strategies designed to mitigate investment risk while offering a potentially high return, unique to the film industry.
We believe that a well-managed film has the potential to generate income indefinitely, contributing continuous financial value to our company and its shareholders. The GUFG team, with its lifetime experience in film production, upholds a reputation for integrity and dedication to quality. They seamlessly blend film production capabilities with a deep understanding of their fiduciary responsibility towards our investors and shareholders.
The mission of GUFG is to safeguard our financial investments by focusing on risk reduction and profitability maximization.
The GUFG also serves as the sales division, tasked with negotiating worldwide distribution arrangements for films produced under our banner. Our ability to attract esteemed film distribution partners is attributed to the extensive relationships developed by our management team, whose industry reputation is built on performance, honesty, and integrity.
The individuals we entrust with film distribution are as important as the quality of the film itself. They handle the commercial exploitation of the film across multiple platforms and markets, involving theatrical exhibition, home video distribution, television exhibition, merchandising, ancillary rights, and non-theatrical exhibition.
The GUFG devises the market plan for each film, projects future sales, secures commitments and pre-sales from domestic or foreign outlets, and ensures co-financing and minimum guarantees for investors prior to distribution.
Each film produced in-house contributes to the rich repertoire of the Global Universal library, facilitating future film financing and enhancing long-term value by establishing an additional profit center and growing asset base. Successful projects like "Blue Seduction" starring Billy Zane and Estelle Warren, which was completed on budget and on time, exemplify our commitment to quality and punctuality.
Global Universal now owns a diverse library of feature films, including works like "Deadly Intent", "Distortions", and "Coo Coo Café", produced and licensed from Jackie Giroux. Several of these films have been recognized at various film festivals, and we continue to plan for the production of many more scripts. Our strategic partnerships and planned productions promise a bright and exciting future for GUFG.
